My Baby Girl Turns 14 WOW!

Well along with our scary night, my Baby girl turned 14 while we were in the hospital with her brother having surgery. We had to cancel her Birthday party. She was a really great sport though. We went a little over the top to compensate for her loss. We got her a Pink IPod. (Someone stole her old one) and all the accessories to go with that. She was happy. She is such a nice young lady and a good big sister. She was more worried about her baby brother. Happy Birthday baby Girl!

What a Long and Scary night!

On June 19th we were all snuggled in our warm beds to go to sleep except for one. He was crying big puppy dog tears so bad. I thought at first he was making up stories, because he likes us to lay down with him at night, but I saw those real puppy dog tears in his eyes. So, I got Up. Now, I know it was the Lord telling me to not go to sleep that night. I decided well it is midnight, I am not going to sleep, we better go to the ER and see what all these tears are about. Z and I hopped in the car, I kissed my Hubby goodnight, and told him I would see him in the Morning. little did I know that we would not be home for 3 days. Z was telling me that his right side was hurting. So, I having just finished some nursing school classes, knew that there was only one thing that could cause that pain in the lower right quadrant. I did not know however, that little kiddos are most commonly the victims of Appendicitis. I always thought that it was adults. Sure enough, at 3:30 am they told us that we were going in for Emergency surgery in 4 hours. WOW! very scary when you don't even know the Dr. who is going to cut open your child. I am thankful that she did a wonderful JOB! Here are some recovery pictures of my precious little one Enjoy! He is great Now..just to up date.

Our not so Long Vacation

Here we go again another crazy weekend!Just FYI..we have had one too many here lately! Last Thursday a week, we all decided to go with my husband on a Business trip and make it a long weekend together. We wanted to take the kiddo's to schlitterbahn, San Antonio and Sea World. However, I noticed before we left that my back was really hurting. I went ahead and went, because I did not want to ruin this trip for the kiddo's. We did get to go to Schlitterbahn on Thursday which was really fun, and I managed to get up on Friday morning while Kurtis was at work and drive the kiddo's over to Fredericksburg to shop. We shopped a little while and had a great time together. All the time I was really hurting in my lower back. Friday night we drove on into San Antonio and ate a Mexican dinner on the river. The kids really loved that. We stayed in a suite at La Quinta and had a really nice time. However, on Saturday Morning, I woke up and I could not Move at all. I was in such pain I felt I could cry all day. I did not want to go to the San Antonio ER being so far from home, so we all decided to pack up our Vacation and come home. I was so sad for the kiddos'. They were such great sports. We drove back all the way. I might add that we listened to the "The Shack" by William Young on Audio CD all the way back and it was the best book I have ever heard! If you have not read it YOU MUST! My Hubby dropped me off at ER as soon as we were home. I was there only 2 hours and told I had Lower Lumbar issues..WRONG..they gave me Morphine and I threw up in pain all night long. The WORST nightmare of my life was that Doctor. Finally Monday, I went to my regular doctor after an AWFUL weekend of Tremendous pain. Only to find out that I have a Ovarian Cyst on my right ovary the size of an orange and a possible Dermoid on my left. I find out today if I am going to need further surgery. Please pray for that not to be true. I fell like I need to get this body back to health NOW! not later. I will keep you posted on what is going on. That is all for now. P.S. The these are the only pictures I got of our whole trip :(. I felt so bad I forgot the camara as we went out. I am so sad about that. This is the kids in the car ready to go.
